Disciplinary Action Information
Some State agencies web sites will
provide a listing of licensees or registrants who have disciplinary actions.
The Board realizes that listings of this nature do not give a full
understanding of the situation that caused the disciplinary action. Therefore
the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board chooses not to provide such
information on this web site.
The Board will provide disciplinary information
on any veterinary licensee or registered veterinary technician upon written
request. The request must be made in writing and mailed or faxed to the Board
office. The Board's response will be by return mail and contain the letter of
dismissal or final disciplinary action.
This is provided so that the consumer can
make an informed decision regarding their choice of veterinary care. Please
provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, and whom you are
requesting information on.
When requesting disciplinary information
remember the request must pertain to an individual and not a veterinary
practice facility. The Board does not take complaints against veterinary
practice facilities. Complaints are against individuals. This assures that an individual
cannot clear their record by moving to another veterinary practice.
